HATS ON!
Join us for an informative program from the Hampton Bays Historical Society and The Lyzon Hat Shop Museum (116 West Main Street, Hampton Bays), which is located in the original shop of acclaimed milliner Walter King. Women of the Hamptons Summer Colony frequented his business beginning in the 1920s, and the museum houses more than 50 hats and other artifacts from Mr. King’s exclusive collection of bespoke and uniquely designed Lyzon hats, some of which will be on display at our meeting today.

BACKYARD BIRDING
Eileen Schwinn, vice president and field trip leader for Eastern Long Island Audubon Society, will share the joys of birding on Eastern Long Island, where species such as the American Flamingo, Lazuli Bunting, Harris’s Sparrow, and Allen’s Hummingbird can be found. She’s discovered that birding brings a calmness and peace of mind, as well as other surprising benefits that come from being out there with the birds or simply watching them from your kitchen window.
